I do intend to start posting again before long. I have signed up for a new produce delivery service and am testing it out to see how I like it. In the meantime, my excuse for not cooking much and not posting at all for five months is this little man, who arrived on February 12. He was a whopping 9 pounds 4 ounces, so I definitely have to eat a lot to keep him well fed. Cooking is going to be a necessity, as takeout and freezer meals are starting to wear thin.
You may have noticed things have been mighty quiet around here. I do intend to start posting regularly again, I just can’t tell you when exactly that might be. I’m sorry for the radio silence. If you are getting bored and looking for recipes, you can always check out my old food blog at Edible Ventures.
I’m afraid I hit a brick wall as far as having the energy or interest in cooking. That’s the bad news. The good news is that the reason for this is the little baby that is currently growing in my belly. I had always imagined cooking super healthy, veggie-filled feasts throughout my entire pregnancy but I’m afraid it just isn’t happening. Now that I am in the second trimester, I am getting my appetite back, but I’m not quite up to speed in the kitchen yet. When I am, you will be the first to know!
To keep apprised of whether there are any new recipes on here, may I suggest you subscribe to the page if you haven’t already? That way you’ll get an e-mail when I eventually do post some delicious new meals on here. It’s only a matter of time…
We are headed out of the country this week for a lovely Euro-trip that we’ve been trying to plan for the past five years. Fear not, gentle readers, recipes will still magically appear on this blog through the power of planning ahead. Have a wonderful couple of weeks and I’ll see you on the flip side!
(I did not take that photo, I “borrowed” it from the Forum of Young Global Leaders website. I hope they don’t mind.)
